Happy Labor Day, Super-Couponers! If you opened your newspaper yesterday and wondered, "where are the coupons?" don't worry -- there are typically no coupons the week of a holiday. (Here's why [1].) Sales typically take a breather too, but there's enough going on that will likely have you hitting the stores this week regardless.
Now... ready for your Deals of the Week? You may enjoy a great $10 Kellogg's Catalina sale, a now-better $5 Kraft Catalina sale, cheap Kingsford charcoal, free Tide Stain Release, cheap meat deals, free Zegerid, free Schick Hydro razors (again) ... so let's get started!

A BEAUTIFUL (if you can find all the coupons) fruit snack / drinks deal
You'll need to be a multiple-inserts person to really rock this one! And, to do the deal this way, you'll also need to find the "Buy 2 Kellogg's Fruit Snacks, get $1 off juice boxes or pouches" tearpads that have been spotted at some stores...
Buy 10 boxes Kellogg's fruit snacks ($2 each)

Note that the $10 mail-in Kellogg's rebate from August is NO LONGER AVAILABLE, so don't do this deal counting on a rebate, but it's still a sweet deal on many of these products.

Bumped UP from previous weeks' deals because it's finally in the ad with new prices! "Buy 5, Save $5 and donate 5 meals to Feeding America / Huddle to Fight Hunger [12]" Catalina sale Buying any 5, mix or match, will generate a $5 Catalina. An all-Capri-Sun scenario
Buy 5 Capri-Suns 10-packs.
Pay $9.95 and get $5 Catalina.
Pay $4.95, or .99 a box! With 10 pouches in a box, that's about .10 per pouch. Cheap for school lunches too!

Deals continuing from previous weeks:
RAINCHECK ALERT!If you're holding rainchecks for Ice Mountain Aquapods 8-packs from when they were on sale for $1 last week, the Catalina on Ice Mountain has begun! Buy 2 8-packs of Aquapods and get a $1.50 Catalina, or buy 3 or more and get a $3 Catalina.
As with last week, you'll want to use the $1.50-off-2 coupon from the 8/29 RP insert. You'll pay .50 for 2, or a quarter per 8-pack, AND get a $1.50 Catalina back, making this a moneymaker! If you have multiple $1.50 coupons, buy 4 8-packs of Aquapods per transaction. With two coupons and your raincheck, pay $1 for four and get a $3 Catalina back! Also a nice moneymaker!
Note that these Catalinas do NOT stack up - buying 8 packs of Aquapods at a time will NOT generate $6 in Catalinas. If you buy 3 or more, no matter how many more, in the same transaction -- you'll get one $3 Catalina. Split them up if you've got multiple coupons and rainchecks to use up.

Jewel-Osco recently launched a Facebook page [23]. If you have questions directly for corporate, you can ask them there (and they answer promptly!) They've also got the free cookware promo [24] under way, so save your stickers from qualifying receipts to earn free pots and pans.
Are you on the Jewel-Osco email list yet? [25] Jewel has been making coupons available for many different products all summer, and they're usually store coupons that you can stack manufacturer coupons with too. I'd recommend getting on their list if you shop there.

Coupon booklets currently found at Jewel
Fall Into Savings coupon book - $18 worth of manufacturer coupons - here's a list of what's inside [26].
Tastes of a Winning Season - $5 worth of Kraft coupons
Kellogg's Fuel For School $20 coupon books - here's a list of what's inside. [27]

Jewel meat deals:
- Perdue fresh drumsticks or thighs are $1.49/lb.
- Kosher frozen hen turkey is $1.79/lb.
- Boneless skinless chicken breasts are $5.97 for a 3lb. frozen bag -- that's about $2/lb.
- Jewel is running its Fav 4 meat deal again. Purchase any 4 packages of meat for $19.99, regardless of the prices they're marked. As with anything, your best deals here are going to be found on the items that will work out to under $2 per pound.

Jewel produce deals:
- Bananas are .38/lb. THROUGH MONDAY ONLY. Look for coupons for .50 off Dole Bananas in the dispenser near the Dole juices to drop this great price even more.
- Fresh green beans are .99/lb.
- Roma tomatoes or sweet onions are $1/lb.
- 1lb. bags of Farm Stand baby carrots are $1
- 1lb. bags of frozen Jewel vegetables are $1
- Fiji apples or Bartlett pears are $1.49/lb.
- Eggplant, zucchini or yellow squash is $1.49/lb.
- Organic broccoli is $1.99/lb.
- Red Delicious or Granny Smith apples are $2.99 for a 5lb. bag
(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is -- beef, pork, poultry) it's a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices -- ditto for most produce. Seafood, by its nature, is more expensive per pound, but a good "buy" benchmark is $4 per pound or less for fish or shrimp.)
Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick's currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick's deals will include expired coupons. If an expired coupon matchup is provided, it will be noted with (exp) after the date. Also, in Chicago, Dominick's does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) - if your store doubles, you'll do even better with many of these deals.

Attention, charcoal grillers! Just in time for your Labor Day grill-out, here's a nice deal on Kingsford Charcoal. It's on sale for $6.99 a 16.6lb. bag -- not that great a price. But add coupons, and the fun starts happening... head to Cellfire [28] and load the $4-off-2 Kingsford coupon to your Dominick's card. Then, if you've got the Dominick's "Make a Muscle" coupon book, look inside for a $4-off-2 manufacturer coupon. Buy 2 bags, use both discounts, and pay $5.98 for 2, or less than $3 a bag!
If you've got any of the old printables for free barbecue sauce, resealable bags, etc. when you buy Kingsford, work them in here too for an even better deal!

As usual, there are Dominick's Super Coupons* in this week's ads too. These are store coupons, which (in the case of the name-brand products) means they can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for even bigger savings. Best bets?
- Tide Stain Release (again!) It's on sale for $5.99, limit 2, with Super Coupon. Head to PGEsaver [29] and load the $3 ecoupon to your Doms card. Stack it with the $3 manufacturer coupon from 8/29 PG, 8/1 PG (exp,) 7/4 PG (exp,) 5/2 PG (exp,) 3/28 RP (exp,) 3/7 PG (exp) or a printable [30]. With $6 in coupon value on a $5 item, you'll pay... nothing! It's FREE!
- Lays and Lays Kettle chips are $1.79 each, limit 4, with Super Coupon. Use the $1 coupon from 3/14 SS (exp) or June All You (exp) and pay .77! There's also a .50 printable here [31]. Also look for peelies for FREE Rold Gold pretzels when you buy 2 Lays, and/or tearpads for either $2 off produce when you buy 2 Lays, or a tearpad for a FREE bag of Sun Chips when you buy 2 Lays! Any way you slice it, those are some CHEAP snacks :) (And, oh, if you saved some of those older tearpad coupons for "Free reusable grocery bag when you buy Sun Chips?" Last time this sale ran, we also saw "Buy 2 Lays, get free Dominick's burger or hot dog buns" coupons, so there are a lot floating around out there.
- Safeway frozen potatoes are $1.99 for a 32-oz. bag, limit 4, with Super Coupon - good price.

Deals continuing from previous weeks:

Dannon Activia is on sale for $2. Use $1 coupons to cut these down to $1 for the multipack:
$1 off Activia: 8/8 SS, 7/18 SS (exp,) 6/6 SS (exp,) 5/2 SS (exp,) 3/28 SS2 (exp,) 2/28 SS (exp,) 2/7 SS (exp,) 1/10 SS (exp.) This sale runs through October 20th!

Coupon booklets currently found at Dominick's
Make a Muscle, Make a Difference" - $39 worth of coupons inside (full list) [32]
Kellogg's Fuel For School $20 coupon books - (full list) [27]
Get Out and Grill / Simple Summer Seafood - Lots of great store coupons for grilling, condiments and other products that you can stack with. Full list here [33]. All expire 9/7/10.
O Organics - brochure card with "$1 off any O Organics Item" coupons in the store, expiring 12/31/10. These are GREAT coupons for products like organic milk and produce.
September Coupon Booklet - small yellow square book released monthly.

Dominick's meat deals:
- Fresh Safeway whole fryer chickens are .99/lb.
- Gala apples are $1.29/lb.
- Perdue chicken drumsticks or thighs are $1.49/lb.
- 93% Lean ground beef is $1.99/lb.
Want FREE marinade? Many Dominick's will marinate your fresh meat free at the meat counter, so depending on what you're buying, you may want to take advantage of that.

Dominick's produce deals:
- Green or black seedless grapes are .99/lb.
- Sweet large Red Lion nectarines are .99/lb.
- Broccoli crowns or cauliflower are $1.69/lb.

*A note on Dominick's Super Coupons:
What does "minimum $10 (or $20) purchase required" mean? To use store coupons that include a minimum purchase requirement, you must spend a minimum dollar amount on that shopping trip. You will reach the minimum purchase amount based upon total purchases after your Club Card discount is applied. For example, the regular retail price of a box of Cheerios (after Club Card discounts) will count toward the minimum purchase required in order to use the Cheerios coupon.

Heading over to Meijer, here are your best deals of the week for Meijer stores in in Algonquin, Aurora, Bloomingdale, Bolingbrook, Elgin, McHenry, Oswego, Plainfield, Rolling Meadows, St. Charles, and the Indianapolis area:
Cinnabon pancakes are on sale for $1.67. Use the $1 coupon from 8/15 Parade (Chicago Tribune, and other papers' Sunday insert) and pay .67!

A "No Coupon Needed" deal... Meijer chicken breast nuggets are $3.50 for a 32-ounce bag. Good price in the absence of other chicken nugget deals...

Meijer's also running a "Spend $40, get $10 Mastercard" deal on P&G products... not seeing anything earth-shattering here (or for that matter, in much of Meijer's flyer this week, unfortunately...)

Meijer's offering a program called MPerks [34]. It delivers weekly store coupons to your cellular phone. Sign up at the link if you're interested...

Meijer meat deals:
- Fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts are $1.79/lb.
- Tyson boneless skinless chicken thighs are $1.79/lb.
- Pork shoulder bone-in country style ribs are $1.19/lb.
- Fresh pork back ribs are $3.49/lb. (Yes, this is well over my usual benchmark for meats, but it's been almost three months since we've seen ribs dip below the $2/lb. mark so if you want them...)

Meijer produce deals:
- Bi-color sweet corn is .15 an ear, limit 12.
- Peaches and nectarines, plums and pluots (various varieties) are .99/lb.
- Mangoes are .50 each

Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you're in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you're reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store... Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES or ORLAND Meijer locations, they haven't been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the stores are newer, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.

For my Rockford-area shoppers (and Kroger shoppers too!) here are your Hilander sales for the current week [35]...
Kroger apple juice is $1.29 per 64oz. bottle. My usual benchmark for bottled juices is under $1.50, and this fits!

I was kind of unwowed by the Hilander ad this week (again, typical for a holiday week) but several sales have been carried over from last week, like...
Minute Maid frozen treats are on sale for $1. Use the .50 coupon from 8/15 RP, which doubles to $1, and they're FREE!

Reach toothbrushes are free after a doubled coupon too! They're on sale for $1. Use any of many .50 coupons (8/1 SS, 5/16 RP, 4/11 RP, 3/7 RP, 1/3 RP and they're FREE!

Gum toothbrushes are on sale for $1. Use the .75 coupon from 8/8 RP and pay just a quarter!

Right Guard deodorants are on sale for $1. Use the $1.50-off-2 from 8/15 RP, buy 2 and pay .50, or .25 each!

Hilander meat deals:
- Chicken drumsticks or thighs are $1/lb.
- Pork shoulder roast is $1.49/lb.
- Danish pork spare ribs are $1.59/lb.
- Ground chuck is $1.77/lb.
- Pork western ribs and pork steaks are $1.99/lb.

Hilander produce deals:
- Seedless red, black or green grapes are .97/lb.
- Nectarines and peaches are $1.48/lb.
- Jazz and Braeburn apples are $1.48/lb.
- Dulcinea personal watermelons are $1.99

Remember too that Hilander doubles coupons up to .55 face value every day! You are only allowed to double two of the SAME coupon per day though -- additional coupons will ring at face value. (Split your trips if you're stocking up!)
Readers outside Illinois will want to check with their local Kroger or Kroger-affiliated stores to determine how they handle coupon doubling.
Off to Target, where again, it's a slow week deal-wise (and again, this isn't uncommon at all around this time of year.) However...
... the great $1 off fresh produce printable coupon is back on Target's site, as well as nearly 50 other new ones. Check them out and print..!

Target has launched mobile Target coupons which you can load to your phone. They are Target store coupons that you can stack manufacturer coupons with. Load coupons here. [36] You can also print these offers by going to www.target.com/save [37] and entering your phone number.

Remember too that you get .05 off your total at Target for each reusable bag you bring and use!
Drugstore Deals
Zegerid OTC acid reducer is FREE after a Register Rewards/Rebate coupon deal! The 14ct. package is on sale for $10, and when you buy it, the register will print a form for a $10 mail-in rebate. Use the $3 coupon from 8/15 SS and you might actually make a little money on the deal...

Quaker instant oatmeal is a good buy this week too. On sale for $2.50, you'll want to buy two, because doing so will generate a $2 RR. Now, use a coupon on each box... print two $1 coupons here. Buy 2, pay $3 and get $2 back - that works out to .50 a box! [38]
Coupon booklets currently found at Walgreens

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won't have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today's Deals of the Week! We're all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you... to YOU!

* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It's a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month -- typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year [51] off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you've recouped the cost of the magazine, and you're on your way to even bigger savings.)

Heading to Walgreens...
And finally, over at CVS...
