Confused with Tide
I wanted to use the BOGO stain release with the purchase of a Tide. I bought 2 Tide with 2 $ 1 Q and then the BOGO Q for the stain release and was told that I could not use both Q's. CS said that it is using 2 man Q for one item. I explained to her that the $1 was on the tide and the BOGO was for the stain release. She stated that both require a purchase of Tide to use so I could not use both Q's. I would love some insight on this one as I though I was correct. Thanks
today i went to jewel and bought 2 tides 100 oz , plus 2 tide release 10 pac , gave the cashier my coupon for buy 1 tide, get tide release for free and that is what happened i got the 2 10 pac of tide release for free.
stick in some cashier's minds as the same thing as a cents off 2 items coupon?

In your case you could have asked the cashier to scan them and see what happened.
Back in the fall, I had a coupon for $ off a softsoap dispenser and a coupon for buy one softsoap dispenser and get a refill free. I explained it the same way you did and I knew I was right because the deal was on Jill's site (don't worry I didn't use Jill's name LOL). 4 people were involved in this including 2 mgrs. Finally she just "let" me have it. Then she told the cashier when I was done "Let me have those coupons" and I watched her walk away with them. Hopefully she asked someone who knew what they were doing so I could be vindicated. I was almost in tears!!
The Softsoap deal was the same way - $1 off the Pump, and Buy Pump, get Refill Free. And again, correct usage of both coupons.
The $1 off Tide coupon applies to the Tide.
The Buy Tide, get Stain Release Free coupon applies to the Stain Release.
One manufacturer coupon per item -- the register will accept too. You just had a confused cashier.
yes i bought 2 tides 100.oz and 2 10 pac of tide release, i gave her my 2 coupons saying buy 1 tide get a tide release for free. she took off somewhere around 8.00 .
I am a horrible perfectionist and just have to be right, boy does DH love that, LOL!! I just needed to know that I was correct and they were wrong. After all I am a first child, haha.
Yep, Coupon Gamer drives us all crazy with her perfectionism. Don't know where she gets it.
get to use your coupons? We know you're right but unless you get someone in the store or at corporate involved above the cashier it doesn't save you $$$.
I did get to use one of them because she only saw one $1 Q. I have never used this stuff so I was getting it because it was free and I wanted to try it. If I decide to try and do the Tide deal tomorrow I will try again at another store. If I don't it is not a big deal to me at this point, I just need to know that I am truly understanding these deals correctly.
