After 3 weeks, I still have not received the deals! So disappointed. Seemed like I was clear and ready for delivery when I spoke with them and gave them all of my information.
Sure hope something is on my driveway in the morning!

60013-I signed up a week or 2 ago and never got the coupons. Called today to find out where they are and girl said nobody put my address in and deal expired today, so too late.

No delivery in Bartlett, but I asked if I should call again later, and she said no, when they add a new area they will let us know by sending notices about it.

60013-yes I signed up over the phone and have received my free inserts for the past two weeks!

I called because I did NOT get my deals delivered. They told me because I already have a subscription (in my husbands name only) I get the deals delivered in my paper. So no additional deals.

I called back under my name which no subscription is linked to and they said it was for a limited time and the deals have ended. When I called so sign up they said my deals would start being delivered today.

No such luck and I think the Tribune will make a lot of people angry. Just before getting out of bed this morning I was already flipping through the deals in my head and then come to find out a big Disappointment was starting my Sunday off and a bad note.

Is the "extra one" stuffed inside your regular paper or should it be an extra plastic bag laying on the porch? I called 2 weeks ago and I qualified but have seen nothing new. Thanks.

I called and was told it is not available by me but to call back in a few weeks and it might be added.

Newark's 60541 does not work. They said this is a test run and may be expanded to include other zip code areas later.

Arl. Hts has two zip codes. I called for mine, 60004 and was told they don't have Deals Delivered Program, but when I asked them about 60005 the girl said yes.
I sure would love some free coupons! I will call back tomorrow morning to see if I get a different answer.

I got my letter last week and have been hesitating signing up only because I was concerned about getting more junk in the mail that had no value. But this sounds like it definitely has a value add so I am going to call today.

but they wanted me to cancel my sunday paper in order to get this.. so it looks like this is a friends and neighbors thing. I may ask my neighbors if it is okay to sign them up (five neighbors in my apt building and NONE of them are subscribers.. so this was good to know!)

Just called the Trib and inquired if Deals Delivered was available in Elgin (60120) and she said it was. She was able to set it up to start on 3/14 with my already existing subscription. Awesome!!!

Called today (800-311-8500) and signed both myself and my mom up. They advised I would receive my first delivery this coming Sunday (3/14).

Are you referring the special coupons only pack that is only available if:

1. You do not subscribe to the Tribune
2. The Tribune man came to your door to sign you up for?

If so, here is what I know (*disclaimer: I have NOT been holding out by not mentioning this on the blog because it has NOT come to fruition yet, and I didn't want to start a rumor)

A few weeks ago, a man came to my door from the Tribune. I assumed he was trying to sell me a subscription to the delivery service. I explained that we get the Tribune. He said "Oh well, that's too bad, I can't sign you up for the special coupon packs". I said "Hold Up, Wait A Minute!" (Ok I worded it much more politely but that is what I was thinking). I said "What coupon packs"? He told me this:

That the manufacturers who put out the coupons are not seeing a big enough return on them, i.e. not enough are being redeemed. So, they are paying them to sign up NON-subscribers for a special pack of coupons to be delivered all on their own on Sundays. After we talked for a few more minutes, I mentioned that the subscription that gets delivered here is NOT in my name (which it isn't - the SO and I rotate who has a subscription for the paper and it doesn't happen to be my turn right now WOO-HOO!), he said that works then. He signed me up. The coupon packs are *supposed* to contain different coupons than the regular paper, and be for a higher value. He said they are randomly choosing neighborhoods to walk through and try to sign people up, and it is not something you can just call up and ask for. *UPDATE* I forgot to mention that I did ask him if they would be going to Huntley, since my aunt who introduced me to Jill lives there, and he did say they were planning to hit the Huntley area, probably starting in Del Webb, but that again the neighborhood choices are pretty random.

Now, again I have not said anything because, the delivery is not supposed to start until APRIL. Also I have scoured the web and the Tribune site and have not found anything out there to support this. All I have is my copy of the sign up form. Which is around here *someplace* (its a 7 paper Sunday at my house so I can't even see my desk at the moment under the coupons!). When I find it I will edit this and tell you what it is called.

*UPDATE* Found it, it is called Deals Delivered, "Your source for weekly savings compliments of Chicago Tribune.
