ConAgra / Georgia Pacific / Snapple "Spend $25, get $10" UPC list???
Does anyone have the UPC list for this sale yet? I think Jill blogged that it runs for a month, and I would like to start going through and pulling coupons for items since it sounds like this is a good opportunity to stock up on great stuff - and use up all these cats I've accumulated thanks to You Bucks and CHILL.
Got a coupon for sunrise blend(??) Was wondering if this can be used...
I see the 101.40 OZ Diet Dr. Pepper is included, but is that a 6 pack 12 pack or what?
Anyone know which DIet Peppers are "in"??
Thanks!??
3 Wesson $5.49/2.99
2 OR Popcorn $3.59/1.69
1 Hunts Ketchup $1.49/.99
$25.14/$13.34 OOP - $2 Q for popcorn = $11.34 - $10 Cat so $1.34 for all that
Not bad for a newbie right?
4 reddi whip (conagra game coupons 50 cents off each)
4 Hunts diced (conagra book mailer/ game wouldn't print anymore 1 off of 4)
3 Rotel (conagra book 1 off of 3)
should be 12.96 total after coupons (i don't know exact price of tomatoes, will let you know)get 10 back.
Anyone try this?
Make sure if you are purchasing danimals to check the prices. The crush cups are cheaper than the yogurt drinks.
It isn't worth it unless you are just longing for a taste.
Swiss Miss $2.48 shelf/$1.00 sale at my store. $.09 a box after cats. 11 gets the catalina. $11X$1.00=$11-10=$1 for 11 boxes of Swiss Miss after cats.
Reddi Whip $3.29/$2.49. I can never find this cheap. $1.24 per can after cats. Need 8.
Dannon Activa $3.25/$2.00. $1 Q's in 3/1 SS. Small MM after q's and cats. Need 8. $16-8=$8. Get $10.
Dannon Danimals $2.99/$1.99. $1 Q's in 3/1SS. Small MM after q's and cats. Need 9. $18-9=$9. Get $10. (Also works with coolision.)
Guldens $2.39/$1.49. $.58 each after cats. Need 11.
Wesson/ketchup good deals too, but I think they were covered.
Add in all great YB deals, and happy crazy shopping week!
is $1.99 shelf price and $.99 preferred card price.
HOWEVER!! If you are doing a black belt deal with the ketchup, scan it first. Mine came up with a middle price as $1.49. I would NOT have gotten my catalina using the $1.99 because it put me under $25
Good luck! :)
Darn it! I just got back and that was the only deal that didn't work for me and i have been racking my brain trying to figure out why. The Ketchup!!
can i ask how many did you buy?
I only got three plus a bunch of other stuff and I should have known better. I've been doing this for a year but I got caught up in the excitement and went off the wrong number. Then I couldn't figure out what went wrong and why I didn't get the CAT. After I saw what someone had posted about the 3 prices on the ketchup, a big light bulb went off. DUH me. lol
Anyone know the price of the ketchup?
The blackbelt value for the Hunts ketchup at my Jewel is $1.49.
Is there any way to print this item list?
Highlight the list. Then click File, then click print, then click print "selection", then click OK.
I highlight the list, copy it, paste it into word (or excel), then delete the items I am not interested in buying, then print what's left, so I have 5 pages of UPC's and not 15 pages.
Sharing a deal that worked for me:
4 Wesson Vegetable Oil $5.49/$2.99
1 Healthy Choice Fresh Mixer $3.99/$3.29
Used 1/$1 ManQ for Healthy Choice (must've been from a Conagra coupon booklet)
Paid $14.25 + tax, received 2 $5 cats
I'd love to hear other deals people are coming up with!
Has anyone tried doing an all poppycock deal? I tried buying 7 today at $3.95 ea = $27.85 non-preferred price. Got no cat. Yes, the upc's were on the list. Yes, I scanned each bag.
I did one deal where I threw in one Poppycock and it was the one deal I did not get a cat...something's going on with those--and I bought the "original" as to not buy a weird one.
I'd say avoid those.
I have tried it at 3 stores on the South side and have not gotten it to work either!!! My husband needs his Poppycock!!!
I apologize if this has been answered multiple times but can we use the catalinas we get from the jewel $25/$10 and $30/$10, to pay again for the same catalina deal? I think that is called rolling.
That is not possible is at Dominicks and Walgreens, correct?
Thank you so much for your patience!
At Jewel they let you roll the cats.
Thank you very much!
I double-checked all these prices at my store scanner- good thing too, I would have been off $.50 if I hadn't. Got to the register and rang in all the ConAgra items FIRST, without scanning preferred card, to TRIPLE check my math.
1 Wesson Oil 48 oz $5.49/$2.99
2 Peter Pan PB 13 oz $5.98/$3.98
2 Egg Beaters 15-16oz $7.98/4.98
4 Chef Boyardee Beefaroni $4
1 Hunts Tomato $1.85/$1
Total: $25.30
***I was going to use Hunts Ketchup (1.99/.99) but when I checked the price, it showed 1.99/1.49/.99 - So I substituted the Hunts Tomato sauce***
Also bought Suave conditioner $.89
Jewel bread $.99
Juicy Juice 8 pk $2.49 (all above preferred prices)
Used 2 blinkies for Egg Beaters, $.35 each
Used $14 cats from previous trans.
Paid $7.04 OOP
Got the $10 ConAgra (it comes in 2 $5 denominations)
$2YB Suave & $1YB bread
Was expecting a YB for the Juicy Juice but didn't get it. Might return it and try a different size.
Not bad!!! Love getting all these groceries for cheap!!!
If you didn't realize it already, the juicey juice is quantity of 2.
I didn't! I guess too many deals :)
See, before this website I would've thought, wow! $.49 juice?? That's gotta be wrong... and double check. but now that I've MADE money with YB I didn't think it was so uncommon. haha.
Thanks!!
I know!!! It is awesome... went tonight to get some Ragu, eggs, bread and Suave. 3 times. Thankfully my Jewel is well stocked on all. Food Pantry trip in the morning! Been out of town all week so I have some catching up to do.
BTW. There was a Juicy Juice $1.00 off 2 printable coupon from the juicy juice website. I am not sure if they still have it there, but worth a shot if you didn't already get it.
printing coupons right now. I will check for it :)
had blinkies in the store last week for $.35 off one. So:
Ad's 'without preferred card' cost: $3.99
Preferred cost: 2.49
Minus coupon: 2.14 each.
Almost 50% difference :)
Running out to try a black belt deal real quick! Will re-post if it works
Buy 7 boxes and get the $10.00 CAT. They are regularly $3.59 a box/ on sale for $1.90. Make sure to check your regular price as at 3.59 it right over the $25.00.
And make sure to print out 4 IP coupons!
So weird how the prices vary by store.
I just came back from Jewel.
Purchased 14 puddings for $14.00 and received the $10.00 CAT.
I didn't use any coupons but I know there is the game you can play and get $1.00/3 any hunts item
http://www.recessionpayback.com/#/select
after you play the recession game once, at the "select" screen, click on the browser address bar and replace /#/select with /#/coupons and you'll skip the game to go straight to the coupon select screen. Makes it a lot quicker to grab all the coupons (Print limit 4!).
If you could print 4 of them they would have been free. Not a pudding gal but what a deal if you are.
i did print and use 4 coupons the next day.
I officialy have pudding for a year, but the kids love it so much, I'm not going to be surprice if it's gone in a few months.
I printed 4 out $1.00 off coupons and bought 14 puddings. (I left a whole bunch on the shelf!) I also used the $10 cat. So, I had overage and had to buy 1 lb. bananas to make my total $1.00 with tax. Good thing bananas are on sale too!
I guess we're now pudding people. Who would've thunk it!
I know, it's a rare treat in our house and I had my son shopping with me to pick flavors. His eyes about bulged out of his head when I told him we were buying 14 of them. It was too funny.
You can also buy the Hunts jello and it works. My daughter loves to take it to school for lunch.
I take jello and pudding to work for lunch every day. Now I've got 10 cartons of each. My only question now is should I go back and buy 10 more? ha
LOL!
Same with fruit snacks! I don't know what would happen to him if he knew I have about 15 boxes of them in the pantry!
I grabbed bananas too, had him put them in the pudding. Trying to work some healthy food in with all of this!
You can save the fruit snacks for Halloween treats ...
I bought 3 Snapple @ $6.99/$4.99 each, and 5 Chef Boyardee @ $1 and received no Cat. Thought that would bring me up to a Preferred Price of $25.97. What did I do wrong?
Did you take EVERY item to the price scanner in the store to verify its price, according to the instructions here?
Each item with a different UPC can have a different price. Different FLAVORS of Snapple can be priced pennies differently, as can anything else. Unless you are verifying every single price at the scanner (NOT AT THE REGISTER ITSELF) you should not be doing these deals at this level.
Again, again, again... every time we have a big sale like this, we have a lot of new people on the blog. Sincerely, I mean no offense to you, littleqponer, but you have been a member of the blog for 30 minutes.
30 minutes.
It can take a minimum of weeks to months to get good at these deals and truly understand WHY they work the way they do. It is not as simple as looking at the "regular" price and counting off that -- not at ALL. The prices on the tags are not the prices you count from.
These deals are INCREDIBLY intricate, and unless you are willing to spend a lot of time at the price scanner in the store verifying every single item (and you do HAVE TO) - you should not do the deals in the "black belt" way. Use the actual Preferred prices of these items and guarantee yourself getting that Catalina each time.
You do need to scan every item in the store and find out what the lowest non-preferred price is.
One alternative is you can scan your card at the end.. You just need to remember to scan it at the end which is the risk.. But whether you scan it at the end or the beginning you will get the CAT.(assuming you bought the right items..) The other important thing you need to do is check every UPC of every item. Even the same product can have a different UPC and not be on the list to generate the CAT..
I should of mentioned it, thanks. Make sure if you scan last that you make sure you are way over the $25.00 becasue that total on the register will include tax. So as a good rule of thumb, Get to about $28.00 on the total and you should be good(assuming your tax isn't more then 10%..
you are in Cook County.
CROOK County?? LOL You guys pay way too much tax over there!
The self-check machines have a feature to let you check prices as well. The cashiers can explain to you how it works. It is very simple, but easier to see for yourself in the store.
I would advise to NOT do this when there is a line behind you, but if you see a free self-check lane at a quiet time of day, just go over there and check some of your items. Then you know for sure what the prices are.
Then write them down (if you are like me, you'll forget the price for the first item once you are at the third one...:)
Go back in the store, figure out your "game plan", gather your coupons and THEN head for the "real" check out.
Phew. Sometimes couponing takes more time than you want, but it sure is worth it.
One side note: do this WITHOUT kids. Sure helps to keep your mind together. :)
My store doesn't have a scanner so I have tried to do it at the self checkout but it doesn't give the 3 prices. How can we do this?
