Swiffer Deal??

Has anyone put together a scenario for the Swiffer sale? I have all these coupons from the coupon book, plus the Target coupons, and the Sweeper is on sale. It seems to me that I can do the following:

Sweeper is on sale for 8.99
$2 TargetQ from today's RP
Plus the Buy the Sweeper get a refill free coupon from the book.

So, I'd be getting the Sweeper plus a free refill for $6.99?

Is this correct? Does anyone know if the WetJets are on sale? And if so or if not what the price is? There is also the $5 off WetJet Target Q from today. While I have a WetJet, I am out of both the pads and the liquid. It would be cheaper to get a new Jet which comes with pads, liquid, plus a refill using the Q from the book and the Target Q than it would be to buy replacements for both. Any insights would be GREATLY appreciated. :)

48 count

Bought the red swifter and the boys are actually fighting over who wants to use it I guess I should hae gotten 2. Used the coupon in Home Made Simple got the 48 count refill $11.49 for free.

There was no wording on size

There was no wording on size limits on my coupon for the refill. At n aurora target on orchard gateway, I was able to use the free q on a double refill!

Really? You are lucky!

All three of mine did specify the size of the refills that would be given for free and it was the smaller size packages. Whenever I run out of refills, I use microfiber cloths that I have cut to fit my swiffer and use those until another deals rolls around. They are even better because they are reusable over and over and over

Depends which coupon

The insert coupon specifies a size, but the Home Made Simple does not.

Dominicks Swiffer

I bought the Wetjet at Dominicks on Saturday. It was $21.99 and $5.79 refill (refill not part of the P& G deal). I added the 2 oz Bounce bar as a filler. I hope I didn't pay twice as much Jill! I assume you bought the dry swiffer? Menards had the wetjets for $16.99 but no Cat deal!

Dry

Yes, I bought the dry. Bounce bar is an excellent filler too, with the ecoupon, Super Coupon, and high-value manufacturer coupons out for it :)

Incidentally, I have (a few) dry Swiffers in the house still from last year's deal! I buy Swiffers primarily for the refills, when these deals come up.

But my sons actually LIKE to Swiffer (hooray!) and in their exuberance, have broken two of the Swiffer handles over the past year, so it's never bad to have more cheap Swiffer kits anyway.

Scenario preview

If you want to do a Dominick's run, you can get the Swiffer and refill much cheaper than at Target (though admittedly, Target's got good coupons out too.)

This will be in tomorrow's Deals, but here was my Swiffer run today at Doms as Swiffer is part of the $25/$10 P&G Cat:

1 Swiffer starter kit ($2 off - 8/2/09 PG) - $10.99
1 Swiffer refill (Buy Swiffer, get Refill free - Home Made Simple book) - $8.99
1 Febreze Candle ($2 off - 11/29/09 PG, 11/1/09 PG or 8/30/09 PG, plus $1 PGEsaver ecoupon) - $6.49
1 Febreze Air Effects (Buy Candle get Air Effects free coupon - 9/27/09 PG, plus $1 PGEsaver ecoupon) - $3

Pre-coupon total: $29.47
Post-coupon total: $11.48 and got $10 cat.

Funny thing? I really only wanted the refill! The rest was filler. But whenever the "buy Swiffer, get refill free" coupons are out, this is the best way to use them, as it's almost always cheaper to get an entirely new Swiffer AND the refill than the refill alone.

---------

Swiffer WetJet was $21.99 at my Doms - throw in the Febreze candle/air effects combo and you're over $25.

Thanks Jill

Thank you Jill! I know it "could" be a little better at Dominick's but I am not a Dominick's shopper *anymore*. I'd rather overpay at Target. :)

me too!

Plus Target has the cool new red ones! Also FYI I made wetjet "refil" out of diluted Murphy's Oil soap which I love, and does not dull or streak my wood floors like the Swiffer refils. (I can't remember if I read that here or another site).

I thought you were never supposed to use Murphy's Oil on wood

Target bonus!

I hear you :) And... if you do the deal at Target, you get a RED Swiffer, and they donate part of the purchase price to charity. I have Swiffer envy for that cherry-red one for some reason. It has been calling to me all day from the Sunday Target ad, saying "Yes, I am more expensive than my green Dominick's counterpart, but look! I am red! I am stylish! And I am STILL a bargain buy with a FREE refill!" LOL :)

PINK!

When I read about this pink one I had swiffer envy! (too funny) bought 2 green ones (donated 1) with the Dom deal for the big refills from the refresh your nest. I had one more that I was hoping to use on the pink with the target store coupon and a $1. off man. and low and behold I walked into target today and what was peeking at me from behind the end cap that was FULL of red ones? A pink one :-) lol... oh the things that make us happy. And to top it off... they have the giant size box of refills! Yeah! I can't thank you all enough! Especially you Jill for this awesome Forum!

EXACTLY

After doing the Swiffer at Dominick's I did go back to Target and get the red one with the Refresh Your Nest coupon for the free BIG refill -- I think it was a 36 count! Love that.

And, my little guys LOVE to Swiffer, and they occasionally get so vigorous with their Swiffering that they've been known to break a handle or two. It's never a bad thing being stocked up on Swiffers!

Yikes...

Didn't think of the breakage factor! I have to little men and can you believe, this is my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd swiffer purchase!? I just thought they were way too expensive before! I think I will keep my other green one and let the boys go swiffer crazy!

Kids Swiffering

They love to Swiffer - and I am all for letting kids clean if they want to! I take one segment out of the handle so it's shorter for them -- and yes, at these prices, let them go crazy! If they break, your spare Swiffers were pretty cheap too :)

Awesome... didn't even think about that... they are excited it is just for them! :-) thanks!

Pink Swiffer

I didn't do the Dom deal because I didn't have a $2 man q so I went to Target to get the red one but then saw this pink breast cancer one (I'm assumming something goes to raise early detection awareness...) so, I went with that. There were 3 man q's inside.
$2 off any one swiffer sweeper refill
$2 off any one wet mop refill
$2 off one swiffer sweeper starter kit

I'm seriously thinking about doing the Dom deal now that I have the $2 man q!

It's not over-paying then!

Exactly! I was thinking of it not as over-paying at Target vs. Dominick's but as a charitable donation!n:0) Of course I can rationalize anything I REALLY want lol.
