I have used them many times before. I was told by cashier, after she spoke with her supervisor,that they will only accept a Mfg. coupon with another store name on it for a specific item. No CATS.

Another response from Meijer

I received a call back from the Director of the Meijer store that refused to let me use a manufacturer Cat issued at Jewel. She appologized for the error on the part of the store manager and customer service lady and said I was correct that manu. Cats from other stores CAN be used at Meijer. I can't wait to go back and get in that check out line. This time I'll have the Meijer store coupon policy in my purse as a back-up but I'm ready for whatever they try to hit me with. Knowlwdge is POWER...that's what Jill provides...knowledge. Thanks Jill!

I got an e-mail response to my complaint about not being able to use a Jewel Manufacturer Cat. They sent me their official coupon policy...the same exact one Jill linked to. I guess I'll be carrying that in my purse as well as the Dominick's policy. I'm liking Jewel more each day. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it to shop other places. I wasn't even getting any "free" items and purchased several non-sale items that I needed. At least I have the satisfaction of knowing that I was right.

Meijer in Algonquin - Not Accepting Wags Cats

I've now been told that they are no longer accepting catalina's that are from Wags unless it's on a specific product. That if it states "on your next shopping purchase" they will not accept it.

Anyone have an official policy from them yet? Not that this is a huge deal since Jewel does accept them but I was just curious. Whenever I reach for my wallet, I want to use my cats before cash ;-)

This really bites as today, 2/5, I too was denied the ability to use a Jewel Cat manufacturer coupon from Red Gold Tomatoes at my Plainfield Meijer. The manager said no, then I called corporate, they transferred me to a district mngr, and he too said no to the Jewel Cat coupon. I explained I had used these many times in the past. BUT...he's calling me back so now I've got the facts thanks (again) to Jill. Jill, you rock!! What a wealth of knowledge you are. I'm so glad a friend turned me on to this couponing game and I did take your class this summer. Thanks for always replying so quickly and always helping us along.

Their written policy states that they will accept "We accept manufacturer, Catalina manufacturer, Meijer, Catalina Meijer, and internet coupons" - under the policy, accepting all "Catalina manufacturer" coupons, they should accept a RR.

Same experience in Elgin and StCharles

I ran into the same thing about a month ago. Didn't have the printed policy with me and haven't been back too much since then to try again.

They also stopped accepting Wags RR

I was also told by a cashier at self checkout a few weeks ago that they stopped accepting Walgreens RR. He said it was a recent change & that they don't get paid for those particular ones anymore. Didn't bother to followup/check with their corporate Q policy yet.
