A reminder: Keep your address inside your coupon wallet!

Here's a story to remind us all that it's worth keeping your mailing address and contact info inside your coupon wallet (or binder, if you're a binder person.) Today, Consumerist has a story about a lost coupon wallet with a happy ending. A manager at a Pet Supplies Plus store found a shopper's coupon wallet. There was no name or address on the wallet, so she went through it and discovered the customer's address on a Bed, Bath and Beyond coupon! The manager mailed the wallet back with a nice note:
I'm the assistant manager at Pet Supplies Plus in [redacted.] I was cleaning our office up yesterday and came across this coupon file. After a little looking, I found your address on a Bed, Bath, and Beyond coupon. Maybe you left it in your cart by accident?
I just wanted to make sure you got it back – I know coupon-clipping can be a lot of work (but it's worth it!) :-)
That's super customer service from Pet Supplies Plus, who went above and beyond the call of duty in this situation. But it's also a good reminder to keep your contact info in your coupon wallet too. I have an address label stuck inside the cover of mine, just in case.

It happened to me.
I was at Target last year. I completed my transaction and thought that my husband put the coupon book in the bag. Once I got home we realized it was left in the cart. I had almost $100 between RR, gift cards, etc. I drove back, talked to CS and started to go all over the store looking for the carts with those children seats. The last stopped, a nice lady and her daughter had found it, but they were waiting to pay and go to CS. I was so happy, gave them a hug and thank them. When I told them I had almost $100 in there, their jaw dropped. As soon as I got home, I put a self address sticker and phone number on it. Now, the last thing we checked to have after a trip, and before we leave a store, is the coupon booklet.
Thanks, Jill!
Great idea! I just now wrote my phone number on an address label and stuck it in my coupon box. Thanks again!
ooh good idea!
I never thought of that...thanks!
Lost coupon wallet
Yep - I have lost two nice ones ( one was at least 10 years old from when I was selling tupperware) - they did not have much in them but one did have some nice small scissors - they have not turned up so I have my address in what I use now.
Never Thought of that
I am putting it in there right now...
