Announcing... Super-Couponing III!

Please note the date this article was posted..! :)

By popular demand and countless requests, I'm pleased to announce Super-Couponing III: Recovering From Coupon Addiction!

Once you've been through two levels of Super-Couponing, you'll likely find yourself ready for this third tier of coupon education! Super-3 involves loads more coupon talk for die-hard coupon lovers, on topics like:

  • Stockpile control: How much is too much? Learn effective ways to control the seemingly-endless growth of your home stockpile, how to rotate expiration dates, and when it's time to "prune" things down and make a food pantry drop...
  • Spousal resistance: How to deal with a less-than-enthusiastic spouse's reaction to your growing stockpile, frequent shopping trips, and buying things you "need..." (but really don't need...)
  • Getting more coupons: Adding more coupons to your home file through creative means, like "coupon surfing" on Sundays (after everyone's left their newspapers in a restaurant, coffee shop, train or curbside recycle bins...)
  • Bypassing the sale: When you truly need NOTHING from the store, but you can't resist going in to pick up "all that free stuff" this week anyway...

Based on the history of my past workshops, Super-3 will likely be an incredibly popular program! I don't want to spread myself too thin with my current teaching schedule, so my lovely 13-year-old daughter will be leading Super-3. Many of you met her at last week's Skokie class and saw firsthand her passion for saving money just like her Mom! She's well-equipped to speak on my behalf, and hopefully her new night job won't affect her homework responsibilities too much.

I'm currently looking for facilities in which to hold Super-3, but due to the increasing frequency of requests, I wanted to address this today and let everyone know that YES... there will be a Super-3! ;)

AAAhhhh!

But we all really want/need :) this class!

Libraries

You would not believe how many libraries I've fielded calls from all month long that also want this class. It is mindblowing.

hahaha

I know the topics are 'tongue-in-cheek' but they're SO true!!! :) PLEASE consider it?

Too funny!!!!

We were even talking about this class at work today!!! You got us good!!!!

: ) but seriously...I could

: )

but seriously...I could use this....

Cute

That is too cute, that your daughter will teach.

Awesome!

I am signed up for super couponing 2 in May.I will be looking forward to super couponing 3.What a great lesson you are teaching your daughter on how to save money. Those are very important lessons to teach at such a young age.

Woo Hoo!

Very funny, thanks for the great start to April.

Yes!

I can't wait to take this class! I can't even get into a SC2 class yet, wonder how long it will be for SC3! I definitely need SC3!! I think it's great that your daughter will be doing this class-we can get perspective about how it is to live with a coupon addict. :)

Seriously?

OMG! I so need this! The only way I know that enough is enough is when my DH says, "Now where am I supposed to put THIS??? - put it back in the car and drop it off at the pantry!". This isn't spousal resistance is it? He did add shelves in my laundry room, but there's not room for any more shelving. OMG! I have like 200 razors in the house right now. Even with 2 teenagers it will take us forever to use these up. Sign me up! I HAVE to break this crazy couponing cycle. I'd love to hear your DD give this class. I'm sure she certainly knows more about these things than I do! HELP! (Is this going to be a 12 step program? I certainly could never go cold turkey at this point) :-)

hahahaha

okay, now we need a 'razor forum'....200 !!!!! Hysterical!!!!! Where ARE they?

Ummm upstairs :-)

I found those $25 three drawer storage bins at Jewel a few months ago on sale for $11.99. They are being held in three of those drawers which fit perfectly side by side in my linen closet. :-) And I have another bin with toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss and mouthwash. Then another one with first aid kits, body washes, and shampoo/cream rinse. YIKES! See, I DO need this class! HURRY!

LOL

I thought talk about this was a joke! Too funny!

Or is this an April Fools' joke? :) Also too funny!

Yippee!

Hahaha, I still need to attend I and II, but I'm just in stitches about III and the 'addiction' part....my dh has to keep reminding me not to make the kids and their friends (and my friends) crazy with my 'pantry' tours and 'my deals of the day', which I keep thinking they'll go home and tell their parents, who'll then save money (because I'm so ecstatic about all this)...some are interested and some have glazed eyes. And meanwhile, I'm hyperventilating....can 'breathing techniques' be a topic, too, to help cope with this issue? :)

SC III

I am SOOOO excited! I definately have an "addiction" to SC! I hope you are able to do it at Gail Borden! Great job Jill, I don't know how you do it! Can't wait to meet your daughter.

BB

BB, I'm sure you'll be surprised to know that I agree with you. I think this is an April Fool's joke.

That would..

just be cruel! :)

spousal resistance?

Do you really think a 13 year-old would be able to answer questions on "spousal resistance?" You guys are funny. =)

Cruel?

Naw, Jill would never be cruel! It will be funny when she reveals it's a joke. I am figuring it is... but it's fun to play along anyway. :-)

Cruel?

I agree 100% prea! I really do need an addiction class though.......... :-)

It's in my dreams!

I woke up this morning completely confused. I believe I had a dream - I'm still not convinced it wasn't real.

I remember 'seeing' a future add for CVS with All (the brand, not the quantity) laundry detergent FREE with a $2.50 coupon from the 'previous week's newspaper'. Since the future add was 2 week from now, that would make the coupon from this weekend's paper. I spent a great deal of time crafting my argument/debate points for when I tried to convince my husband to 'let' me buy 10 newspapers! It went something like "This is the detergent we buy anyways - I'd buy it at FULL price if I needed to! Why not have $2.50 off?"

I woke up this morning in a confused state over all of this - still not sure whether this was a dream, premonition, ESP experience, or me just losing my mind!

Needless to say, I NEED Super-Couponing III! I petition to make this class a reality - it is essential to my mental health!

April Fool :)

I loved reading all your comments! And though many of us probably need it, for now, Super-3 exists only in the mind of your coupon queen, who enjoys a well-crafted April Fool's joke. :) Though I'll confess to having coupon dreams myself on occasion..!
