Super-Couponing Skokie LIVE video shoot!

Thank you to everyone who attended today's live Super-Couponing video shoot at the Skokie Public Library! I sincerely appreciate everyone coming -- I know there's a lot involved with a production like this, and I'm so excited about the way the day went! To everyone who came... THANK YOU! :) :)

I figured my first post to my awesome wife's website should be a good one. As the husband of the Super Couponer, I just had to say that those in attendance yesterday were terrific. It was a long day and everybody was so patient.

I already know how many people my wife has helped over the past year and I have seen and heard many heartwarming stories.

As we filmed the testimonials yesterday, it was another great experience to hear directly from many that have put her class to the test for themselves. It was also very nice to hear about the affect it has had on them as they are saving 50 to 75% off of their groceries.

Jill has worked very hard to make this as easy to learn as it can be and for those of you that have husbands that doubt the system, point them here for some advice and encouragement. IT WORKS! If they can't appreciate that you are trying to save money and lots of it in this broken economy, then they need to have their heads examined.

When this DVD is completed you can sit them down in front of the TV and show them for yourself. The next time they doubt you, drop a bag of free stuff in their lap, and if they say no to the freezer deal, do it anyway, they might have a problem at first, but when it's full of free items that doubles your investment, they'll zip it for good.

Anyway, for those of you out there that have been on the fence about attending a class (men and women), make it a point to attend one - it will change your life.

It was nice to meet you and do the testimonial with you! I overheard another couponer suggest that you do an off shoot of Jill's website for the support of the spouses of super couponers. I laughed, but you know its kind of needed sometimes. When I can show my husband what I call a "pure receipt" with only free things, coupons, RRs and/or rebates, he finally gets it. Otherwise he will question the time I put into it. I plan to have him read your blog entry, I think it will help him:)

That was me suggesting Doug spearhead the spousal support on Jill's site. Would have loved to have met you in person at the shoot!

In all fairness, my husband is very supportive of my addiction (even if he wouldn't give the green light on doing the freezer deal while we were out of state last weekend and Cub Foods had their freezer deal going!). My first "big hit" was the Healthy Choice soup in the ConAgra deal. I saw it posted here on the evening of Feb. 14 and said, "I'd kind of like to get to Jewel for a deal." and he said, "Sure--go ahead." So he put our kids to bed and 2 hours later I return home with lots of soup for us and the local food pantry. Happy Valentine's Day, honey!

As always, thanks to Jill for her enthusiasm and pure love of this and her family for supporting her wholeheartedly!

It was so nice to hear from you. You offer such kind words for your wife. Now, I hope you are scheduling a very nice, romantic weekend for your anniversary--that was the only weekend available for Lollajillooza '09, and since Jill was not going to be able to attend that weekend, it never materialized. =) Maybe someday.
Also, nudge your wife to pencil in some "off" time for that week...I'm sure the whole family needs it.

Doug - It's so nice to hear from you too and so wonderful to hear how proud and supportive you are of Jill. I know I've said it many times before, but it won't hurt to keep saying it over and over and over... I am very thankful of the lessons Jill has taught me and I'm sure I can speak for many when I say how much we appreciate all that she does!

What I don't think I've done before is thank YOU! Thank you for being supportive of Jill's super-couponing, her crazy schedules and all the time she takes to help so many! Both of you have made a huge difference in many people's lives.

My husband is also very supportive and thankful for all Jill has done to teach me. He proudly shares our couponing stories with those he runs into during his work day and often comes home with an email address for me to email "coupon stuff" to people he has talked with. He loves to see all the free stuff come home and is really proud when he gets his own free stuff (usually from Menards). I'm still working at getting him excited about grocery shopping with me, but it just hasn't happened yet. :)

Way to go, Jill! I hope your video is a success. I loved being a part of your video class. I had a nice talk with your daughter--she is a delight. I was glad to meet prea today as well. The only thing I missed were the Kiss t-shirts. Maybe the cold weather kept them under warmer clothes. I'm sure they were there in spirit.

I had fun and learned so much. It was so neat to be surrounded by people like myself. I wish you all the best in the final production of the video.

One question, you showed a clip of a website that had the grocery deals and what the percentage off would be with the savings that week. During this you mentioned that anything above a 50% savings is a good time to buy. I thought I wrote it down but can't seem to find what I'm looking for in my notes. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks for including us in your video shoot, I enjoyed myself. It was nice to finally be able to attend your class, I have learned so much from you from just this site so it was nice to be able to finally see you in person. You have definitely changed the way that I shop, I can't shop if I don't have my coupons with me. And shopping at Costco no longer gives me the thrill that I get from finding that super deal for free or close to free.

I don't know about you, but I think it went great today! It was fun to put some faces behind the blog names too. A room full of people who love couponing with the same intensity that I do .... I had fun! Thanks Jill :-)
