I know Wal Mart excepts competitor ads with a specific price. Was wondering if they honor the price of the "buy 10" to get the price, for instance the Jewel add this week, has Ragu on sale for $.99 if u buy 10, can you go to Wal Mart and buy say 2 and get them for the $.99?

Let us know how you do, pigskin74

Welcome to the blog pigskin74!! I'm a "toddler blogger" (just under a year old), and you will really love it here :o)

Let us know how you do at Walmart if you do this deal. I've never tried the "Buy 10" deal (just never thought of it), but would like to. They are really good about matching a lot of things. I think most Walmart's get it with the coupon thing - they are making money of the Q's too.

After reading some of the responses below

Just a random thought here, but why WOULD Walmart want you to buy 10 using competor's pricing? Wouldn't it be better for their bottom line if you only bought 2 instead of 10? They're essentially 'losing' more money when we price match 10 items vs 2.

That said, I have no real answer to your question.

Yes, I did just want a clarification, I was in no way expecting to not have to buy all 10. Just needed to go to Wal Mart tonight anyway, so now I won't have to go to Jewel also, to get the good deal! Thanks

I never did it, but I heard from others that you don't need to buy 10.

I bet Walmart

would match the buy 10 price even if you don't buy 10. Someone else mentioned that they told her that 10 is not requires (not sure if it was a buy 10 get so much off or the 10 for 10 kind of sale) My experience with Walmart is that they have never questioned a match - even when it resulted in a $2 overage for each item - gave me my overage in cash. I have never even had to show the ad, altho I have taken them with me. I just did the pizza/ice cream deal and after he matched the pizza he asked if I wanted a match on the ice cream too - I had never even mentioned that! I can tell you I would rather go there than deal with Doms and Wags....wish they matched store coupons too since that is the only thing getting me in those 2 places. I'm taking every deal w/ man coupons for Doms and Wags there from now on. No nasty rude cashiers.

WHY SHOULD THEY

You need to buy 10 if you want a price match , You can't make up your own rules !

Let's not shout..."WHY SHOULD THEY"

If you look you will see that pigskin74 just joined this site today. I think that they truly just wanted a clarification and obviously wouldn't have been asking if they already knew the answer about Walmart accepting competitor's ads, price matching, amounts and prices. Let's help out people who are new here; not shout at them or demean them.

In my experience

You do need to buy 10 to get that price. The price is discounted BECAUSE you're buying in quantity.

THANK YOU

And I am not shouting I always use capitals there. And I try to follow by the rules other wise eventually Walmart might stop making it so easy for us . I love that they match coupons !Makes it so easy ,So why even try to take advantage of a very good thing. AND I am not accusing you of this !! Just why even post it people take advantage enough don't need to give them more ways )O:

No need to buy 10!!

The McHenry Wal Mart does NOT make you buy the 10!!! I posted this question, so that when I walked up to the cashier, I made sure to have a denomination of the 10 items, just in case they were going to make me buy 10. I must say, the young lady I had as my cashier was excellent!! She couldn't have been more then 20, and I talked with her as she was ringing me up, since I'm so new at this. to find out what is easier, and like Jill says, I put all the things with coupons and add matches together, and gave her each coupon/s as she rang up that item, she told me it was soooo much easier then when customers just "threw" her all the coupons at once.

No need to buy 10!

Thanks for the update. I'll be sure to bring the AD/FLYER with if/when I do any matches at Walmart.
