"redeemable at Walmart"
I had a coupon to go with the Nabisco cracker deal and some of the coupons said "redeemable at Walmart". The cashier and service desk guy both said I could not use them, because they were for Walmart. I pointed out that it said "redeemable" not "only" at Walmart and it also said "manufacturer coupon" across the top. Who was right? If I was right, how can I prove it?
If this was Jewel, their policy clearly states they will accept ANY manufacturer coupon, even ones that have another store's name on them, and even if it says "Redeemable ONLY at [store name.]" Print a copy and carry it with you:
Jewel-Osco and other retailers issue coupons that are manufacturer coupons and contain the words "Redeemable only at their retailer" (i.e Dominick's, Walgreens.) This type of coupon is only redeemable at Jewel-Osco if the coupon states "Manufacturer Coupon."
They should also have this coupon policy in the store at Jewel-Osco - all employees were required to sign the new policy in September of 2011.
I am sorry Jill. I don't remember what store it was. It could have been in Crystal Lake, or Palatine. Thank you so much for your quick response and policy. I did print it up and will have it with me.
