Dominicks not accepting coupons that don't scan?
I tried using my .55 Cinnamon Toast Crunch coupons today (unexpired) and was told by the cashier that they can't accept them because they don't scan. When I spoke to customer service (115 & Kedzie) I was told they don't accept internet coupons because of fraud. Does anyone know if this is actually true or was it just a fluke at this store?
I just got back from Dominick's. I always use the self checkout register and almost all of my coupons never scan. The attendant has to come over and put them in manually every time I shop. Some of the coupons are even from the Dominick's coupon books. Why they don't scan I do not know. None of them are expired and they are for the right product. It's VERY annoying to say the least.
The other day I was there and none of my coupons would scan. The attendant looked at me and said 'what do you want me to do, cancel the order?' I said 'Um, no you need to come over and manually put these coupons in because there is no reason why they shouldn't work.' So that is what she did.
Am I the only one this happens to?
Their policy states that they do accept internet printables.
I printed the first page of the new policy and thought it said it had to have a date. Unfortunately when I tried to print both pages, it messed up my computer at work.
...never mind, she stated it was inexpired which I first meant it had no date.
On a side note, many of the coupons I used from the football booklet always beeped (did not scan) even though they were not expired and the ones I used that were expired (this was a couple of weeks ago) did not beep.
They had expiration dates on them. They told me it's their policy that they will not take any coupons that do not scan.
