BIG Super-Couponing class in Huntley!
Last night's Super-Couponing class in Huntley was BIG!
The class, sponsored by the Grafton Township Food Pantry, took place at the Cosman Cultural Center at the Huntley Park District. Over 260 people attended this class and learned how to save big on groceries! It was a fantastic, fun community event for everyone involved too. A big thanks to John Rossi and the staff of the Grafton Township Food Pantry for their continued work in our community too.
As many of you know, when I normally teach a class, I bring "prop" groceries with. But for this class, I brought real things... because I had no intention of taking any of them home! I played a little game with the class and asked how much they thought I paid for all of this... want to guess?

Big Super class
Jill, based on the items that I see, HC soups, the fancy vinegar bottles, granola bars, the J&J soaps, the Ocean spray juice
all these items were free at different times so I would think that you didn't mind taking props and you took the real thing because they were free and you wanted to show people that free is good and it doesn't have to be junk. All these items are from good Major brands and there you have it!
You are really good!
5.89?
I am guessing $5.89

Not every single item was free, but many were. The All laundry detergent was the "most expensive" thing at .79 - the cereals were a quarter a box, and a few other things cost a little here, a little there. The table contains $8.35 (out-of-pocket) worth of groceries :)
