Dominicks' Coupon Policy - Seeking Clarification
I visited the Wheaton Danada Dominick’s tonight to pick-up steaks, McCormick’s grill seasoning on sale for $1 (.50 each with expired Qs), Hellmann’s Mayo (.74 each w/ Doms Q, eQ and expired Qs), Lays chips (.79 w/Doms Q and June AY Q), cheese (1.19 each w/ Doms Q and expired Q), etc.
Unfortunately, my McCormick’s expired Qs beeped. Matt, one of the store managers who's always very pleasant, helpful and positive informed me that they have recently received updates from corporate regarding their coupon policy ... Now, Doms will only accept coupons 90 days past expiration.
I just visited the Doms website but it does not mention anything about expired Qs or store acceptance. Can someone please confirm the above news?
I welcome your assistance and clarification.
Fondly, Smiles2u
I'll ask my contact at Corporate.
I happen to check out Dominick's coupon policy today and saw this statment:
The coupon must have an expiration date and be presented within valid dates.
I am not sure if "valid dates" means before expiration or not. The revision date for the policy is actually today, 9/15/10.
If anyone happens to know what the valid dates are, please share!
Thanks.
I take that to mean they will not accept "No Expiration Date" coupons or coupons that have dates cut off.
It also looks like they are stating we cannot stack electronic and paper coupons.
Jill you said you'd check with your sources and now people are saying there is a new policy. What have you found out? thanks
... my Dom's contact has just been very slow to respond...
I was just at the Dominick's site trying to load coupons on my card last night and part of the site wasn't working. So I was poking around and found the coupon policy here.

It was updated on 9/15/2010. There is one item that concerns me now and Anne18 brought it up on 9/15/2010:
10. The coupon must have an expiration date and be presented within valid dates.
Can that still be interpreted as accepting expired coupons, or is our honeymoon finished?
I know we can't stack ecoupons with paper coupons, but any insight you can shed would be helpful.
The policy is written the same for all Safeway stores, but here in Chicago, "within valid dates" means within the dates -we're- allowed to redeem them in, currently up to one year past the date.
