Last night I read on mashupmom about the $25, get $10 OYNO “Glad/Dixie Picnic Time” promo running 5/12-6/10/10 at Dominicks (http://www.mashupmom.com/?p=25191). My Gather Round the Grill q's have been burning a hole in my pocket because we really needed charcoal. But after reading about Jill's great charcoal/rib combo last year, I've been afraid to use them before a great deal came along. This deal was just the push I needed! Here's what I did:

1 50 ct. Glad Wide Zip bags 2.69

oop 17.44, $10 Dominick's store cat back, net cost $7.44

But! I also found a tearpad in the walk in beer cooler for a $15 rebate wyb $30.00 or more of Summer Essentials (bottled water, ice, fresh seafood, charcoal or grilling utensils) with the purchase of any one 12-pack or larger Miller Lite (bottles or cans) between 5/1/10-7/31/10.

So, I also got a 12 pack of Lite for 8.99. I combined that with my receipts from 5/1 for four cases of Ice Mountain cat deal at Jewel.(Ice Mountain was 2/$8 get $5 cat wyb four or more). After cat I paid 11.00 for 4 cases but the receipt shows them at 4.50 each for a total of $18.00. Not the greatest deal on water but now I'm glad I did it!

After cats & rebate I will have paid $12.43 for:

12-pack of Miller Lite
Four cases of water
24.9 lbs. of Kingsford Charcoal
3 bottles of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing
50 Glad sandwich bags

It was a looooonnnnngggg check-out process. I bought 62 items with 28 coupons and Captain Coupon Inspector was my cashier. Ugh. .35 on Dial liquid beeped. All 8 of them. Interesting since 7 were inserts and 1 was from the company when I wrote to compliment them on the Soft Scrub (oh Dial "selected varities" for .99 = only the orange anti-bacterial).

CS told her to put them through, she showed her the charcoal q's at the same time (hadn't even tried to scan them). CS said those are fine too. Instead, she goes back to the register & calls for ANOTHER manager. He comes over takes a quick look and says "put them through, put them all through, they are mfr. coupons, stop holding up the line). So she shows HIM the charcoal q's too! He said yes of course just scan them already (hee hee).

He ended up standing over her the whole time. In the end he said "Wow, great job ma'am sorry it took so long" Woo-Hoo for Bob the manager!
