Question
okay...I should have asked this last week when I went to SC2. You shared your $5 off $20 deal at Wags. You shared all the coupons you had...how did you get past the one coupon per item deal. I keep running it over in my head and can't figure it out!! Help ;-)
One coupon per item
I never use more than one manufacturer coupon per item (and don't in that deal) but I DID stack Walgreens store coupons with almost every manufacturer coupon I used in the sale. Walgreens will allow you to stack store and manufacturer coupons together, as many stores will -- and it WAS a great sale. :)
i didn't ask that right
yes, i know about stacking...love it! but at wags i thought it was store policy that for each piece of paper (coupon or rr) you have to have an item. so if i buy cottonelle and i use one store q and one mag q...i have to buy two things. you said you stacked two or three coupons for some of the items. but you had like 9 items and at least one coupon per item, other than the coloring book. does that make more sence what my question is? sorry all small caps..baby asleep on my typing one handed ;-)
It's okay
No, you do not need a "filler" item if you use a Walgreens coupon and a store coupon. The Wags store coupons don't count.
The only time you need a filler is if you're using a Register Reward AND a manufacturer coupon together on the same item -- their registers are set up to not allow more manufacturer coupons than there are items present. That's when we either do the "caramel trick" (throwing one of those cheap caramels they sell at the register into our order, thus giving the other coupon something to "attach" to) - or simply use the RR at Jewel.
Walgreen's store q's don't count
The Wags store coupons don't count toward how many coupons you're using, just the manf q's and the RR's. For your Cottonelle you would only have to buy one item and you could use a manf. and the Wag's store coupon. If you paid with an RR though, you would need a filler (second item.) Does that help?
