First, the #StockUpSale deals:
– There’s a Keebler “Buy 10 and they’re $1.99 each” sale running, and a variety of cookies and treats are tagged in the store. I bought ten boxes (yes, we like our cookies over here..!) I used ten $1.50 printables from Kellogg’s Family Rewards and paid .49 per box!
– I bought five 8oz. Kraft chunk cheeses for $1.99 each. Through 10/5, the National Catalina continues — buying five at $1.99 cost $9.95. I got a $3 Catalina for my next shopping trip. That works out to $6.95 for five, or just $1.39 each!
– I bought a 24oz. bag of Johnsonville meatballs which was on sale for $6.99. Last week I got a Catalina coupon for $3 off, so I paid $3.99.
– I also picked up a can of Hunt’s tomato sauce — FREE through 10/5 with the SavingStar ecoupon!
What clearance items did I find? I’ve been finding quite a few good things lately in my Jewel store’s clearance section, and today was no exception. I found…
– Two 22oz. cans of Essential Everyday Grill Style beans on clearance for .27 each!
– Three Banana Boat sunscreens on clearance for $2.24. I’ll post-redeem three $1 printable coupons and net these for $1.24 each!
– Four Robitussin cold medicine 20ct. gelcaps on clearance for $1.74 each. I’ll post-redeem four $3 coupons from the 9/28 RP and make a little money on the deal. Who can’t use free cold medicine this time of year?
Feel free to share any good deals you’ve spotted at Jewel recently!

Hi- Lately Jewel has had lots of gluten free stuff on clearance lately, and earlier this week they had Betty Crocker cookie mix for $.25 a bag at the Plaza del lago Jewel in Wilmette. Yesterday when I was at the Jewel on Howard, I ended up getting a bag of RW Garcia tortillia chips for $.75. I also got some Tabatchnick frozen soup, which I love, and which is on sale for $1.50 a box thru 10/5 at Jewel. I just got 9 Heirloom tomatoes at the Evanston farmer’s market today for $3, because he was getting ready to go home. They were $3 a pound right before I got there. I am going to make probably my last batch of salsa for this year, and I am going to try to make a batch of tabouli salad tomorrow. I

I bought 9 big cans of EE baked beans recently too, but they were 50 cents. MUM has a link to $1/3 Q, but I couldn’t print it for some reason, or I’d go and post redeem too. I find a lot of stuff too, but a lot of expired stuff too, mostly since April for some reason. And even though I pointed out to them a certain product a couple of days ago, I saw yesterday that they just put it back on the clearance shelf.
I also did 3 rounds of cheese, but I wish they still carried mozzarella. I think it’s weird that they don’t carry it in Kraft brand anymore.
Also those small Pom bottles are on sale for $1, and there’s 50 cent back on Snap for multiple bottles. I bought 2 yesterday to check it out and, sure enough, it works. You just enter the number you bought and get $0.50 for each, so they only cost $0.50 then.
And my store has a lot of sunscreen on clearance too, but still only 50% off, so still in $5-$10 range.

did you find the robitussin in the clearance section or on the shelf in the cold medicine isle in the osco section?

I so sorry to ask – I’m new here – but what do you mean by “post-redeem”? Does Jewel allow you to go back with your receipt and coupons to get the cost knocked down after the original shopping trip?? Thanks!!

Hi- I was in the Jewel on Green Bay in Wilmette last week while they had their grand reopening going on, and I did not spot a clearance section. I have heard that the stores that have remodeled already, do not have a regular place for clearance now, and they don’t put out any clearance Thursday through Sunday. Has anybody else noticed that? The Jewel store that I go to the most has not started remodeling yet, and so they still have their self checkout lane, and they have a clearance section most of the time.
Does Mariano’s ever have a clearance section? I have only been to Mariano’s four times because I don’t have one near me, but I have never seen one there. I wonder if Jewel got rid of the clearance section on weekends because they have plenty of customers, and they don’t need the clearance section to draw more people in the store, where as in the middle of the week they do. With the remodeled stores, Jewel is definitely trying to compete with Mariano’s.
